Learn how to interpret the mysteries of tarot in the class "Tarot and You: an Introduction to Tarot." Class participants will learn what tarot is, a brief history of tarot and an overview of some of the truths and myths about tarot. Processes that can be used by anyone at any level to read a tarot card will also be demonstrated; in fact, most of the time will be spent doing "hands-on" exercises. Students are encouraged to bring their own tarot decks, but there will be tarot decks available for use for those who don't have them. (Tarot deck format will be Rider-Waite-Smith).

Mary Ellen Collins is an avid Tarotist who has also worked as a training facilitator in the corporate world for many years. In this class Mary Ellen combines her gift for teaching with her love of tarot to create an introductory look at the fascinating world of tarot that is fun and user-friendly.

Tarot and You: An Introduction to Tarot

Class participants who have taken the Tarot & You: an Introduction to Tarot workshop workshop are invited to join Mary Ellen for a Level Two Tarot workshop. The focus will be on understanding the major arcana and using a three card spread to do readings. Every participant will give and receive several readings. If you have studied Tarot with another teacher rather than with Mary Ellen and wish to take this class, please contact Pearl.

The best way to learn tarot is to work with other tarot readers and practice reading. These workshops are presented approximately once a month (you can drop in one time or come to all the sessions) and will provide a dynamic and interactive learning opportunity for people who know a few basics about tarot and want to move on to the next level. Through ceative and interesting hands-on exercises, Mary Ellen" skilled teaching will enable the workshop participants to master the general process of reading tarot, to use enhanced tarot spreads and also learn useful resources for studying tarot.

Mary Ellen Collins is an Intuitive and profesional Certiified Tarot Reader who has mjany years of experience with tarot and other divinatory tools. In these classes Mary Ellen will combine her gift for teaching with her love and extensive knowledge of tarot to create an exciting opportunity for you to gain lots of practice as well as being able to learn from her much more about the fascinating world of tarot. Students are encouraged to bring their own tarot decks, but there will be decks available for use for those who don't have a deck. The deck format will be any deck based on the Rider-Waite-Smith style.
